CINCINNATI, Ohio-The FBI is investigating whether students from Oak Hills Local Schools may have been victimized by Mark Altherr, a fitness education teacher who was arrested in July. Altherr, 45, was found with a nude pre-pubescent child and had child pornography, leading to federal charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. The Oak Hills School District has begun the process of terminating Altherr’s employment, which started in 2019, and has sent a notification to parents and staff. Altherr’s personnel records show no prior complaints or disciplinary issues. The district is cooperating with the investigation and has provided over 100 pages of documents related to Altherr’s employment and the criminal case.
