Husted Announces Nearly 1,000 Students Participated in 2024 High School Tech Internship Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced that nearly 1,000 high school students participated in the 2024 High School Tech Internship program, gaining real-world experience in tech-related roles. The program aims to connect students with employers in fields like software development, cybersecurity, and IT, helping to retain young talent in Ohio. This year saw a record number of internship requests, almost doubling student participation from the previous year. Husted also revealed that applications to become intermediaries for the program are open, enabling better collaboration between businesses and educational institutions. The initiative is designed to enhance students’ marketable skills and enrich Ohio’s workforce.
