Local Event Raises Awareness and Funds to Combat Child Trafficking

COLUMBUS, Ohio-According to Ohio’s attorney general, thousands of children in the state are at risk of trafficking. In response, organizations are actively working to address this issue. One event in Westerville, hosted by Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution (SOAP), featured a bocce ball tournament to raise awareness and funds for the fight against human trafficking. Theresa Flores, founder of SOAP, emphasized that Ohio ranks fifth in trafficking cases and highlighted the importance of educating the community about this critical issue, urging people to take action for the safety of children.
