COLUMBUS, Ohio-Woodcrest Elementary School Principal Yolanda Cooper’s educational philosophy centers on the concept of family. Since her arrival in 2021 at Columbus City Schools’ only year-round school, she has focused on fostering relationships among staff, students, parents, and community partners. As students returned to in-person learning after COVID-19, Cooper made her presence known by spending time in hallways, classrooms, and other areas to engage with students, staff, and parents, emphasizing her commitment as a supportive leader.
