An Ohio band and choir director is getting national attention for the way he’s inspiring more students to join the band.
For Julia Butler playing the flute is tradition.
“My mom used to play flute when she was, I think she started in fifth grade, and my aunt played before her,” said Butler.
That’s why she knew she wanted to play the flute when she got to sixth grade band but she didn’t know how to do it.
