Ohio-Based Health Care Innovator Proving The Potential to Reverse Psoriasis

COLUMBUS, Ohio-AndHealth, based in Columbus, launched “Project IMPACT,” an observational study aiming to create the largest repository of real-world evidence for psoriasis treatment. The study focuses on reversing psoriasis by addressing underlying causes, alongside conventional treatments. Led by Dr. Jill Weintraub, the study seeks to modify psoriasis treatment by considering factors like genetics, lifestyle, and nutrition.

Patients receive comprehensive support, including root cause-targeted interventions and personalized nutrition. Dr. Myles Spar, the National Medical Director, highlights the initiative’s accessibility, offering care across socio-economic backgrounds. Participants have access to physicians, health coaches, and support staff through a mobile app. Financial barriers are removed, with the program covering costs not included in health plans. Project IMPACT combines medication management with support for nutrition, stress, and sleep. Adults in Ohio and Indiana being treated for psoriasis are invited to participate. AndHealth, founded in 2021, aims to improve access and health outcomes for patients, particularly in autoimmune care, including lifestyle and nutrition interventions.
