MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -Two teenage boys were shot at Smith Park on Tytus Avenue in Middletown on Wednesday night around 11 p.m. A 15-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Atrium Medical Center for treatment. Shortly after, a 14-year-old boy arrived at Kettering Emergency Room, reporting he had also been shot at the park. Both boys are expected to recover. The incident occurred during the Middletown Independence Day Festival, but it’s unclear what led to the shooting. As of now, no arrests have been made, and police have not disclosed any information about potential suspects.
