CLEVELAND, Ohio-Solon students achieved the highest performance index in Greater Cleveland according to the 2024 Ohio school report cards, scoring 111.1. This places Solon as the second-highest performing school district in the state, just behind Marion’s district, which scored 111.5. The top five districts also include Chagrin Falls (111), Rocky River (110.2), and Versailles (109.5). The performance index reflects student performance on state tests, measuring whether established thresholds are met and overall test scores. While testing is not the sole indicator of success, it provides standardized insights into student learning. Notably, nearly half of Ohio districts saw an increase in their performance index scores from the previous year, with significant gains observed in districts like Western Reserve, Leetonia, and East Cleveland.
