COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Columbus City Schools Board of Education will meet Tuesday, having postponed a vote on school mergers and closures originally planned for June. Board member Jennifer Adair previously stated that keeping underutilized buildings open is financially imprudent. A list of nearly 20 schools suggested for closure was reduced to ten, including Fairwood, Lindbergh, Moler, and West Broad Elementary Schools, with potential savings estimated at $9 million annually.
