The county’s first Safe Haven Baby Box is being dedicated in Stow Thursday afternoon. A Safe Haven Baby Box is a device installed at some fire stations and hospitals where a parent can surrender a newborn baby. The device is both secure and temperature-controlled. Once the exterior door is locked, a silent alarm is activated for authorities.
