Two Adults and Two Children Saved During Water Rescue in Highland County

GREENFIELD, Ohio-Emergency crews from Paint Creek responded to a distress call at Felson Park on May 18th, where two adults and two children were trapped in swift water. Greenfield Police Department was already on-site, aiding in rescue efforts. Two juveniles had entered the water, followed by two adults trying to help, all caught in the strong current.

The Highland County Grain Bin team was put on standby but wasn’t needed. Using life jackets and throw ropes, responders safely rescued everyone by 2:41 pm without any injuries. This incident highlights the peril of swift water and emphasizes the need for caution. Collaboration among responders and law enforcement was instrumental in the successful rescue, underscoring the importance of preparedness during water emergencies.
