Third-grader Ka’loni Quick was on a mission: trap a wandering robot using nothing but black tape and brainpower. At first, the tiny bot refused to stay inside her carefully crafted square at Westgate Elementary, but Ka’loni didn’t give up. With a flash of ingenuity, she thickened the tape lines, and just like that, the robot was caught. “It’s fun knowing that we can control robots,” Ka’loni said with a smile.
