AADAMS, Ohio-dams County high school athletes excelled at the Southeast District Division III Track Meet, with Peebles and North Adams High School particularly standing out. Peebles senior Payton Johnson secured two district championships in the Girls Long Jump and the Girls 200M Dash, narrowly missing a third in the Girls 100M Dash.
Samantha Seas of Peebles also impressed, winning the Girls 1600M and the Girls 3200M. North Adams senior Cody Hesler claimed two individual championships in the Boys 100M Dash and the Boys 400M Dash, setting school and district records. He also contributed to a championship relay foursome. Other notable performances include Beau Hesler’s victory in the Boys 800M for North Adams and Manchester senior Connor Darnell setting a new school record in the 1600M Run. These athletes, along with others, will advance to the Division III Regional Meet at Heath High School, with the chance to qualify for the OHSAA State Meet at Welcome Stadium in Dayton.
