COLUMBUS, Ohio-Faith In Action, Inc., partnered with ADAMH Franklin County to address pressing mental health issues among young people in Franklin County, OH. They launched “Power to the Parents Mental Health Moments,” a series of 60-second audio presentations aired on local urban radio stations throughout May and June 2024. These segments informed parents about various challenges facing youth, such as violence, academic performance, substance abuse, bullying (both in-person and online), and encounters with the justice system. Each segment provided practical tips and resources available in Franklin County, aiming to empower parents and improve youth mental health.
