Preschool experience set students up for future success

In pretty much any endeavor, an early start can sow the seeds of success. That is especially true when it comes to a child’s education. A study from MIT found that students who attended preschool had a nearly 10% higher rate of college enrollment.

Nikki Henry, children’s program director at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus in Columbus, explained, “Sending your child to preschool provides significant benefits for the child’s social development, cognitive learning and academic readiness by exposing them to peer interaction, structured learning activities and a classroom environment, which helps them develop essential skills like communication, problem solving and independence, leading to a smoother transition into kindergarten.”
