Solon, Rocky River Among Top Ohio High Schools, According to U.S. News & World Report 2024 Rankings

CLEVELAND, Ohio-Eight Greater Cleveland high schools, including Solon and Rocky River, rank among Ohio’s top 25 public high schools according to the 2024 U.S. News and World Best High Schools rankings. Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati claims the top spot in Ohio, followed by Bexley High School and Madeira High School. Solon and Rocky River improved their rankings from the previous year, with Solon at fourth and Rocky River at fifth statewide.

Nationally, Solon ranks 220th and Rocky River 232nd. Other Greater Cleveland high schools in the top 25 include Chagrin Falls, Hudson, Brecksville-Broadview Heights, Kenston, Aurora, and Bay High School. Schools like Revere, John Hay Early College High School, and Highland rank between 26th and 50th. Perrysburg is the top-performing STEM school in Ohio, followed by Rocky River. Ohio ranks as the 26th best state for high schools nationally, a three-spot increase from last year. High-ranking schools excel in state assessments, underserved student performance, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.
