TOLEDO, Ohio-Toledo Public Schools students at Marshall STEMM Academy participated in taste testing various food samples to help determine next year’s school lunch menu. Students had the opportunity to select and try different samples, providing feedback through surveys afterward.
Carrie L. Kolodziejczyk, senior director of Child Nutrition and Food Service, emphasized the importance of student input in the decision-making process. Vendors provided a range of options, including dill turkey nuggets, double chocolate muffins, cheese ravioli, and international flavors like fried rice and chicken egg rolls. Healthier options like veggie burgers and sweet potato fries were also included in the tasting. Selected items from the tasting will be added to the menu for the upcoming school year.
