< 1 min read

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-The city of Springfield is collaborating with state officials to secure funding aimed at improving its strained public services, particularly healthcare. Recently, Governor Mike DeWine announced a $2.5 million aid package over two years to enhance Springfield’s healthcare infrastructure. Clark County Health District Commissioner Chris Cook highlighted the ongoing challenges, including the need for better prenatal care and translation services for the immigrant community. The healthcare system has struggled to meet the needs of both longtime residents and newcomers. Cook emphasized the importance of strategically allocating the new funds to address critical issues such as infant mortality and child health, with specific plans for fund distribution still being developed.
