Central Ohio High Schools Mourn After Separate Incidents Leave 2 Students Dead

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Hoormazd Javidbakht, a junior at Olentangy Liberty High School, passed away from injuries sustained in a crash on March 14 when he was struck by an SUV while crossing the street in Powell. He was remembered as a member of the track and cross country teams and the school choir.

Cooper Nofal, a junior at Westerville North High School, also recently died in a minibike accident, although details about the incident were not provided. Both schools are offering grief counseling to support students dealing with the loss of their classmates.
