CINCINNATI, Ohio-The Wesley Chapel Mission Center in Over-the-Rhine sees itself as a vital part of the solution to address gun violence. Despite experiencing incidents of violence, such as a drive-by shooting injuring four, including three children, the center remains committed to providing a safe space for kids year-round.
Staff members offer snacks, one-on-one tutoring, and various programs for children. Their experiences drive their dedication, with one staff member emphasizing the importance of providing guidance, as others did for him in the past. Despite the challenges, the center remains steadfast in its mission to inspire and support the community’s youth.
