Governor DeWine Announces New Appointments Impacting Ohio’s Education, Housing, and More

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Governor Mike DeWine of Ohio has made several appointments to state boards and commissions, effective May 31, 2024, across various sectors including education, housing, livestock, and criminal justice. In education, appointments include Paula M. O’Reilly and Kathryn R. Ware to the Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees, and Sterling A. Williams and Zane A. Perrico to the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees.

For housing, Joseph S. Hagan and Mark R. Ricketts will join the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. In the livestock sector, Lyda G. Garcia and Sylvia Sue Zinni will serve on the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board. Finally, in criminal justice, Kyle N. Erdeljac and John L. Hinton have been appointed to the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission, and Jon Paul Rion to the Ohio Public Defender Commission. These appointments aim to contribute to state administration and policy-making in their respective areas of focus.
