MINSTER, Ohio-The Minster Village Council recognized Ryan Halpin as the recipient of a $3,000 scholarship from AMP Ohio. They also approved a $417,997 contract to Barrett Paving for the 2024 Minor Street Resurfacing Project, including Seventh Street, Fourth Street, and parking lots. The council implemented new zoning codes banning cannabis sales and cultivation in the village.
Additionally, they accepted a donation of lots near the library, contingent on using the land for the library’s benefit for five years. The council also hired pool and Parks and Rec employees and approved the purchase of a $26,425 transformer. Village administrator Don Harrod provided updates on ongoing projects, including street and sidewalk installations, well development, and water line installation.
