JACKSONVILLE, Ohio-A daylong project outside Trimble Elementary and Middle School involved students and volunteers constructing a garden bed for educational purposes. Volunteers, including children, professionals, and community members, contributed to building multiple beds using plastic walling and stone corners.
Fruits and vegetables like carrots and strawberries were already planted, with cardboard serving as a weed guard. Teachers plan to integrate the garden into various lesson plans, utilizing it for science, math, English, reading, and emotional regulation activities.
