LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio-Mia Desiree Harris, a Liberty Twp. woman, will stand trial starting September 30 for allegedly shooting her 6-month-old granddaughter and assaulting two others. She faces charges of felonious assault and improperly discharging a firearm at a habitation. Harris has been declared competent for trial, but her attorney has entered a not guilty by reason of insanity plea, which involves a third psychological evaluation. Despite being held without bond, Harris’s trial will proceed to determine her mental state at the time of the offense.
