ROSSFORD, Ohio -Trade and vocational schools are experiencing increased interest from Generation Z students, prompting initiatives like the Heavy Metal Summer Experience organized by SMACNA. Held for the first time in Ohio at JATC Toledo in Rossford, the camp targets high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates from local schools including Whitmer and Rogers High Schools and PENTA Career Academy. The 15 participants are engaged in hands-on learning about heavy machinery and blueprints over the two-week program.
