COLUMBUS, Ohio-At the Columbus City Preparatory School for Boys, students participated in their annual tie-tying ceremony, a tradition aimed at teaching responsibility and community values. Former Ohio State University quarterback Cardale Jones joined the event, which was attended by students, their families, and notable speakers such as City Attorney Zach Klein and Superintendent Angela Chapman. During the ceremony, students learned to tie their uniform ties, which are symbolic of commitment and brotherhood. Seventh-grader Abdoulaye Sy expressed that the ceremony made him feel mature and responsible.
