CINCINNATI, Ohio-Taft High School’s football team (11-2) is set to play Alter (8-5) in the Division IV, Region 16 final on Nov. 22, with the winner advancing to the regional championship. This game is a rematch of a Week 3 matchup where Taft won 36-7. The Senators are aiming for their first regional title since 2021 and the first regional championship for a Cincinnati Public Schools team since 1992. Under head coach Williams, who is in his fourth season, the team has shown strong leadership and a focused, one-game-at-a-time mentality. A victory would mark a historic achievement for Taft and CPS athletics.
