Officers responded to a report of a car crashing into a fire hydrant at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 on Bradley Road. The Westlake Fire Department took the juvenile driver to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Investigation revealed that the boy had driven off the right side of the road before striking a roadside mailbox and a fire hydrant, according to a press release from the Westlake Police Department. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to control.
