April 3rd, 2024-CLEVELAND, Ohio-The U.S. Marshals Service, in collaboration with the Cleveland Division of Police, successfully recovered two missing teenage girls, aged 14 and 15, from Jackson Township. The girls were reported missing on Aug. 28 and were located on the city’s west side before being turned over to Cuyahoga County Children’s Services.
This recovery is part of the ongoing “Operation Safety Net” initiative, aimed at combating human trafficking. In the past 20 days alone, this operation has led to the recovery of just under 30 missing children. Last week, 25 missing teenagers were rescued from various locations, both locally and out of state. The officials stated that the total number of recoveries under Operation Safety Net is just under 30, with approximately 200 missing children reported in Northeast Ohio. The Marshals Service remains committed to locating all missing children in the region.
