BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-During the Bowling Green Board of Education meeting, Cathy Schuller, the school treasurer, received praise for her work. However, her contract renewal was rejected by the board in a 4-1 vote, with only board President Tracy Hovest voting in favor of renewal. Schuller, who has been the treasurer since November 2017, will see her contract expire on July 31, 2024.
The reasons behind the decision were not disclosed during the meeting, and both Hovest and Superintendent Ted Haselman refrained from commenting on the matter. Despite the rejection, Schuller was recognized earlier in the meeting for her successful handling of the district’s state audit, receiving an “unmodified” report, which is the highest rating.
