DAYTON, Ohio-A 15-year-old teenager, identified as Brian Moody by family members, was fatally shot by Dayton officers during an encounter on Saturday night. Police were addressing issues at a vacant house and a block party on Negley Place when they encountered Moody standing in the street. Allegedly, Moody produced a Glock 17 handgun when approached by officers, leading to them firing their weapons. Medical aid was provided immediately, but Moody succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital. The incident, which involved a gun with a loaded 30-round magazine, is currently under investigation by Dayton Police, with a separate administrative inquiry by the Professional Standards Bureau ongoing.
