Columbus school board grapples with $50 million budget cuts ahead of key vote

Columbus City Schools Board of Education members expressed some confusion and sought clarity on Superintendent Dr. Angela Chapman’s proposed cuts to the district’s budget. The board is expected to vote on the cuts in two weeks during the Dec. 2 meeting. The district will need to make $50 million in cuts to its budget based on Chapman’s several proposals.
