AVON, Ohio-Avon Lake High School was put on a soft lockdown after receiving a threatening phone call from a male around 10 a.m. on May 14. The Avon Lake Police Department responded by conducting checks inside and outside the school.
They found no credibility to the threat and have lifted the lockdown. However, police will remain present for the rest of the school day. An investigation into the nature of the call is ongoing. The ALPD thanked students, teachers, and parents for their cooperation during the situation.
