BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-Three Bellefontaine City Schools bus drivers participated in the regional school bus road-e-o at Indian Lake High School. They were tested on state and federal regulations through a written test and a practical examination, which included identifying safety defects on a school bus and performing various driving maneuvers such as turns, serpentine, and student pick-up & drop-off procedures.
BCS driver Jen Lynch achieved 3rd place overall and will advance to the state competition. Other BCS drivers Penny Smith and Kimberly Taylor also competed in the event, which featured over 70 drivers. Bellefontaine City Schools Transportation Supervisor Tammie Garman expressed pride in the safety-oriented drivers who transport students.
