New Matamoras,, Ohio-At Frontier High School, three students achieved perfect scores on either their U.S. History or American Government state tests, a remarkable feat given the low percentage of students who reach the Advanced scale in these subjects statewide. Sophomores Ethan Hartline and Ethan Hartshorn excelled in U.S. History, while Joel VanWey achieved the same in American Government.
Each student employed different preparation methods, including extensive reading, class attention, note-taking, and prior knowledge absorption. Their success serves as motivation for future students to strive for high scores. Teacher Scott Murphy views this achievement as a challenge for future classes to excel further, inspiring academic excellence.
