LOUDONVILLE, Ohio-Loudonville-Perrysville Schools presented two options for a new master facilities plan after nearly two years of planning. Both options involve constructing a new building for pre-kindergarten through 12th graders on the current site of Loudonville High School. The “Red” option features a fully connected, one-story building with renovations to the existing shop building and includes a swing space for students during construction.
The “Gray” option includes additional square footage for career and technical education in a two-story building but lacks a swing space. The estimated costs for the “Red” and “Gray” options are $73,791,711 and $74,368,749, respectively. Funding would partly come from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission’s Classroom Facilities Assistance Program, and the district aims to explore ways to reduce costs, including seeking donations.
