Brown Visits Students at Summit County Manufacturing Camp

< 1 min read

AKRON, Ohio-U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown visited a summer manufacturing camp in Summit County, Ohio, where he presented certificates to seventh- and eighth-grade students. The camp, organized by Brown’s office, aims to introduce local students to manufacturing careers and provide hands-on learning experiences.

Brown emphasized the importance of showcasing the opportunities available in Ohio and dispelling the outdated notion of the “rust belt.” The students expressed excitement about the camp, with one participant highlighting the interactive and educational nature of the program. Brown’s office has been organizing such camps since 2013, with over 150 camps held statewide. This year, they plan to organize at least 51 camps in 29 counties.
