BOWLING GRREN, Ohio-Bowling Green City School students had their first overseas trip since the halt following the 9/11 attacks, venturing to a nation long restricted to Americans: Cuba. Led by Spanish teacher Dallas Black and accompanied by English teacher Tom Ross, the students immersed themselves in Cuban culture, cuisine, music, and history while honing their Spanish skills. Black emphasized the lasting impact of the trip, highlighting its significance. Ross advocated for more international travel opportunities, urging the school board to resume such experiences for students, marking a new chapter after years without such opportunities.
