Summer Enrichment Academy Fuels Creativity for 2 Decades

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-The Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) recently concluded its 20th annual session on June 14, offering a variety of educational courses for students entering second through eighth grades. This year’s program featured 23 diverse classes such as Guitar for Beginners, Learn to Crochet, Roaming in Robotics, and Sharks! (and Other Fish).

A total of 325 students participated, marking an increase from the previous year. Noteworthy courses included Woodwork Wonders, where students learned woodworking skills with activities like crafting birdhouses and using woodworking tools under the guidance of instructor Tamara Frazier and her grandfather Ray Hartline. SEA is organized by Bellefontaine City Schools, Benjamin Logan Schools, and Indian Lake Schools in collaboration with the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center. The academy aims to provide academic and creative challenges for motivated students, featuring both educational professionals and community instructors.
