AKRON, Ohio-The Akron Public Schools board will hold a special meeting today at 4:15 p.m. to vote on transportation contracts for 1,200 vulnerable students starting later this month. The board will consider several options, including a previously rejected contract, two companies used last year (KBT Transit LLC and UTC Trans LLC), and a proposal to reject all bids. The administration previously proposed outsourcing to Templeton Transportation LLC but faced board rejection and potential legal issues.
