8-Year-Old Student Helps Stock his School’s Food Pantry Through Lemonade Stand

TOLEDO, Ohio-Eight-year-old Tucker Hetterick, a third grader at St. Aloysius Elementary School in Bowling Green, volunteers at his school’s food pantry. He buys food items with money he earns and raises through lemonade stands, a tradition he began at age four. This year, Tucker raised over $900, contributing significantly to the pantry’s supplies. His efforts include planning, making chocolate chip cookies, and distributing flyers. Tucker’s initiative has become a key support for the pantry, serving about a hundred households monthly. Praised for his dedication and planning skills, Tucker aims to expand his fundraiser and involve friends next year.
