SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-The Clark-Shawnee Local School District is implementing advanced bus technology to catch motorists who illegally pass stopped school buses. Many of their buses are equipped with cameras that utilize red light-running technology. If a driver fails to stop when a bus’s red lights and stop sign are activated, the camera records the incident, and the bus driver can flag the time, allowing the footage to be reviewed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol for potential citations.
