A 12-year-old was charged after a 13-year-old was struck by gunfire in central Toledo Wednesday, according to police.
In a report, Toledo police said a 12-year-old tried to “retrieve a firearm” from the pants pocket of a 13-year-old at a residence in the 1100 block of Palmwood Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m. The incident caused the firearm to discharge, police said, and the 13-year-old was shot in the leg.
