Columbus community rallies to support 10-year-old paralyzed in drive-by shooting

A Columbus family dealing with the unthinkable: a drive-by shooting left a 10-year-old girl paralyzed. “We have to do something. When you have a baby that’s been shot and paralyzed, that world for them changes,” said Columbus 1st Assistant Police Chief LaShanna Potts. The Columbus community is rallying together to support the family. Columbus police, along with local churches, have launched a community-wide effort to raise funds for the girl’s medical expenses and to provide essential supplies for her family.
