Ohio will require schools to have a policy on the use of artificial intelligence in schools, with schools required to adopt a policy by July 1, 2026. The Ohio legislature directed the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to adopt a model policy by Dec. 31 and collect data from districts and schools on how they use AI.
