A former teacher in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst City School District was sentenced Thursday in Geauga County Court of Common Pleas. Judge Matthew Rambo sentenced Eric Arnold Schmidt to serve six to nine years behind bars. He will have to register as a sex offender for the next 25 years. In August, Schmidt pleaded guilty to one count of illegal use of a child in nudity-oriented material.
