A 12-year-old was hospitalized Saturday evening after a car hit them while they were riding a bicycle, police said. The collision happened around 6:00 p.m. on Chestnut Street at Central Avenue. Police said the 20-year-old driver was traveling west on Central Avenue approaching Chestnut Street when he hit the child. The child was hospitalized for treatment of severe blunt force trauma, according to police.
