April 15th, 2o24-GREEN SPRING, Ohio-Kenneth G. Meyers Construction hosted a career expo in Green Springs, Ohio, inviting over 200 high school students from 14 local schools to learn about opportunities in the 5G broadband industry. The event aimed to educate students about the diverse careers available in utility construction, emphasizing the increasing demand for high-speed internet infrastructure.
Students were introduced to various jobs, from aerial construction to underground construction, and had the chance to operate heavy equipment under supervision. The expo also involved the University of Findlay and Terra State Community College, emphasizing that careers in this industry are accessible regardless of educational background. The goal was to provide students with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their future career paths.
