COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio’s 2024 sales tax holiday has been significantly expanded to run for ten days, from July 30 to August 8. This extended period offers savings on a broader range of items compared to previous years. Eligible purchases now include items priced up to $500, an increase from the previous limits of $75 for clothing and $20 for school supplies. For the first time, dine-in meals at restaurants are also included in the tax exemption. Exclusions still apply to services, motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and items containing marijuana. Additionally, Ohio is introducing new personal income tax rates for 2024, reducing the number of tax brackets and adjusting the rates.
