Grandview Heights Voters to Vote on School Levy in November

GRANDVIEW, Ohio-In November, voters in Grandview Heights will decide on a levy that could raise $69.5 million for the local school district. If approved, over $52 million will be used to construct a new Stevenson Elementary School, which is projected to accommodate an additional 130 students in the next decade. Superintendent Andy Culp emphasized the inadequacy of the current building’s size and facilities, noting that its 600-square-foot classrooms fall short of the recommended size. Beth Collier, the district’s CFO, pointed out that the existing mechanical systems have exceeded their useful life, making maintenance difficult. Additionally, more than $17 million from the levy would be dedicated to enhancing the current athletic complex.
